Experience Silver Thread wines at two scenic locations overlooking Seneca Lake. Our primary location is Silver Thread Winegarden, an easily accessible venue on NY-414 in Lodi where you can enjoy wine tasting and food pairings on a first come, first-served basis. Silver Thread Estate is a secluded, seasonal spot located off-the-beaten path, offering tastings by appointment only. Our knowledgeable, professional staff and expressive wines ensure a memorable experience at both locations.

Hours: Winegarden–November-April: Friday-Sunday 12-5pm. May-October: Thursday-Monday 11am-6pm.    Estate Tasting Room–May-October: Friday-Saturday *by appointment*

Reservations: The Winegarden requires reservations for groups of 7 or more (click here for details). We do not take reservations for parties of 6 or fewer, as they are served on a walk-in basis. More guest policies are listed at the bottom of this page.

Offered Year Round. Enjoy a big, beautiful view of Seneca Lake and our vineyards while a knowledgeable Wine Educator guides you through a tasting of five wines of your choosing! Perfect for folks looking to learn more about the Finger Lakes wine world, with a focus on Silver Thread’s sustainable practices and outstanding cool-climate wines. Walk-in only. Max group size: six people (including non-tasters). $15 per person.

Wine & Food Pairings at the Winegarden

Offered Year Round. There’s no better way to experience wine than alongside food! Relax with a glass or flight of wine and some light fare made in-house with local ingredients. Our small bites menu includes curated cheese boards, salads, sausages, and European-style spreads. View the a la carte menu here or book a Wine & Food Pairing reservation in advance. Walk-in service for groups of six or fewer. Reservations required for groups of 7 or more.

the Vineyard

Guided Tasting

Offered May-October. Experience the original Silver Thread Estate Tasting Room, perched in the middle of the vineyard with our wine cellar visible below. Sample six wines from our estate-grown, library and limited-production list as you learn about our winemaking philosophy from a senior staff member. Tours of our certified sustainable vineyard are also available! Reservations required. Max group size: six people (including non-tasters).

Frequently asked Questions about Visiting Silver Thread

What is your group size policy? Our maximum walk-in group size is six. This includes children and non-tasting adults. Groups of 7-20 may request a reservation for a Wine & Food Pairing Experience at Silver Thread Winegarden. Reservations must be made at least 7 days in advance.

Do you allow pets? Pets are not permitted inside Silver Thread Winegarden or the Estate Tasting Room. Well-behaved, leashed pets are allowed in the outdoor tent seating area at the Winegarden (May-October).

Is smoking allowed on the property? For the health of our employees and guests, Silver Thread is a non-smoking property. This policy includes tobacco, vaping and cannabis.

Can I bring my own food or drink? Per our liquor license and operating permit, guests may not consume any alcoholic beverages or food except those purchased on our premises.

Do you have parking for large vehicles? The narrow gravel driveway and small parking lot at Silver Thread Estate Tasting Room do not allow for large vehicles such as stretch limousines, buses and RVs. Large vehicles are permitted at Silver Thread Winegarden.

Do you have electric vehicle charging? Silver Thread Estate Tasting Room has four level two charging ports for electric vehicles. Learn more here.
