Winegarden FAQs

Alright, Silver Thread fans. We’ve been getting a lot of questions about our new tasting room, the Silver Thread Winegarden. Here are some of the most frequently asked, as well as their answers!

Q: Where do I buy bottles/pick up my wine?

A: At the Winegarden! Whether you have wine club wines to pick up OR you’d like to stop in during operating hours to stock up, wine sales now happen at the Winegarden (9564 NY-414).

Q: Is the original building (at the vineyard) closed?

A: Absolutely not! Vineyard tours and private estate tastings will be available *by appointment only* May through October. Learn more about your tasting options here.

Q: Now that you’re in a big space, are you taking larger groups?

A: Nope! We are still limiting our walk-in group size to six people max, to ensure that Silver Thread patrons continue to receive the same personal, educational experience that we have always provided. Groups of seven or more are required to request reservations in advance.

Q: Are you serving lunch?

A: Officially, no. Could you order enough to make it lunch? Absolutely! We’re excited to offer seated wine flights, by-the-glass options, and more alongside a savory menu of small plates. You can view our current bites menu here.

Q: Will you finally offer private event bookings?!

A: We will! Folks who would like to book a rehearsal dinner, retirement party, fundraising event, wedding, etc. are welcome to contact us through our website. (Please note that we are NOT offering catering services. Though our bites menu features some of the classic items from our predecessor, Dano’s on Seneca, that menu is not available for private events.)
