Wine Advocate – Riesling “STV Estate Vineyard” 2016 – 91 pts

Wine Advocate, April 2018

Riesling “STV Estate Vineyard” 2016–91 pts.–It shows slate, minerals and cement…elegant…very fine.

Dry Riesling 2016–90 pts.–Dry, but by no means austere, this is fresh, concentrated and nicely built, with a clean finish and lively demeanor…balanced as well as impressive.

Semi-dry Riesling 2016–90 pts.–My tendency in the Finger Lakes is to prefer the Dry Rieslings, but this handles its sugar beautifully, while remaining fresh and lively.  It shows good concentration and some tension on the finish.  It’s a sure-fire crowd-pleaser, appealing to novices and geeks alike.

Dry Rose of Pinot Noir 2017–89 pts.–Concentrated and palate-coating, it finishes with dried raspberries.  The acidity lifts the Pinot Noir beautifully and the finish lingers.
