Silver Thread Raises Funds for Lodi Food Pantry

Sept. 20, 2017–  Silver Thread Vineyard raised $625 for the Lodi Food Pantry at its Good Earth Day event on September 9, 2017.  Thanks to a great turnout at this second annual event, 25% more was raised than last year.  All tasting fees and vineyard tour fees paid by visitors to the winery that day were donated.  In addition to grape-tasting tours of the vineyard and wine tasting, Good Earth Day featured a local food truck, mini farmers’ market, and solar energy information station.

Food for All, Lodi’s Community Pantry, strives to provide Lodi with a community space for exchanging food, ideas, and resources with neighbors. There are no income restrictions and no registration requirements.  The pantry focuses on distributing fresh, local, minimally-processed foods to local residents, and teaching fresh food preparation techniques.

Silver Thread’s donation will be used to provide local meat and natural home cleaning products for distribution at the Lodi Food Pantry.

Thank you to all the Silver Thread visitors and team members that made this year’s Good Earth Day possible.
