Silver Thread Named a “Must-Visit” Winery

October 6, 2014–On-line newspaper Huffington Post named Silver Thread one of seven “Must-Visit Artisanal Wineries” in the Finger Lakes.  Author Nish Gera wrote of us, “this is the winery you should head to if you wish to understand why Finger Lakes Rieslings are internationally celebrated.”   He selected his list of wineries because at each one, “you can smell and taste the passion and attention to detail that’s involved.”

Gera is collaborating with Tilar Mazzeo on a travel guide book called Back Lane Wineries of the Finger Lakes.  It’s part of a series that already includes Back Lane Wineries of Napa and Back Lane Wineries of Sonoma, both in their second editions.  His recent trip to the Finger Lakes was the first of many he will take in researching the full-length book.
