Silver Thread Featured at Wine Symposium of the Finger Lakes

Silver Thread wines will be featured prominently during the upcoming Wine Symposium of the Finger Lakes in Geneva, NY, August 21-22, 2015.  The event, in its third year, celebrates the premium wines of the Finger Lakes through educational tastings, seminars and food pairing sessions.  The Symposium will take place in downtown Geneva and features international wine personalities in addition to the best local wines.  Participants may choose which portions to attend via an “a la carte” menu of events.

Our wines will be featured during the Grand Tasting, held Friday evening, August 21, at the Geneva Lakefront Event Center.  Silver Thread’s 2013 Semi-dry Riesling and 2014 Doyle Fournier Riesling earned gold medals in a recent winemaker-judged Riesling competition affiliated with the Wine Symposium, and will be poured during the Grand Tasting along with the other gold medalists.  Silver Thread co-owner Shannon Brock is serving as the volunteer coordinator of the Grand Tasting, which is the highlight of the Wine Symposium.

Silver Thread’s Pinot Noir will be served at a Winemaker Luncheon on Saturday, August 22 at Red Dove Tavern.  Winemaker Paul Brock will host the lunch and speak about Finger Lakes wines’ fantastic food pairing ability.
