Recipe for Dry Rose: Lemon Garlic Shrimp

April 14, 2014– As we continue our month-long celebration of Dry Rose here in the Finger Lakes, here is a delightful recipe perfect for Silver Thread’s latest pink bottling.

Lemon Garlic Shrimp

Serves 4


4 cloves garlic, minced

2 shallots, chopped

Juice of one lemon

3 T. red wine vinegar

¼ c. dry olive oil

2 T. fresh parsley, chopped

½ t. crushed red pepper flakes

Salt and pepper to taste

1 ½ lb. shrimp, peeled and deveined


Combine the first 7 ingredients for a marinade. Season shrimp with salt and pepper and turn in marinade to coat. Let

stand 15 min, then thread shrimp onto skewers. Grill shrimp skewers about 2 minutes on each side (inside with a grill

pan is fine). Remove from grill and enjoy. Makes a lovely dinner when combined with green salad and crusty bread smeared with goat cheese.
