International Wine Report Reviews Three Silver Thread Wines

We’re pleased to share that three of our wines have received 90 points from the International Wine Report!

90 points for the 2024 Dry Riesling “…greets the senses with aromas of honeysuckle, chamomile, and fresh lime zest, accented by a touch of green melon. On the palate, the wine is taut and refreshing, carrying a petrol edge alongside its brisk acidity, which drives flavors of citrus peel and crushed minerals into a bright, zippy conclusion.”

90 points for the 2023 Estate Riesling “…delivers a lively interplay of citrus zest and ripe apricot, framed by a gentle sweetness that never overwhelms. Its crisp acidity gives shape to the fruit, while the finish is on the medium side, leaving behind hints of peach and green apple in its wake.”

90 points for the 2024 Pétillant Naturel “…an unconventional blend of Cayuga, Aravelle, Regent, and small amounts of Chardonnay, Cabernet Franc, and Gewürztraminer. The color glows like the last flare of embers in a fire, hinting at the wine’s playful spirit. Aromas move in many directions, carrying notes of nectarine, wild raspberries, fresh-cut hay, and wet stone. The palate is brisk and edgy, defined by tangy citrus peel, a snap of green herbs, and lightly grippy tannins. The bubbles rise quickly and fade just as fast, leaving behind a lean, bone-dry texture sharpened by mouthwatering acidity.”
