Thanks for your interest in bringing your group to Silver Thread!   Our team strives to provide a premium, educational wine tasting experience.  Due to changes in our method of operation due to COVID-19, the largest group size we can host is 6 people.  Please click on our “Book Tastings” button to see the tasting options available and make your reservation.

The booking module allows you to make special requests (birthdays, anniversaries, etc.) and let us know if you are coming in a livery vehicle (read below).

Road Access and Parking are Limited. Our tasting room is located ¾ mile down a privately-maintained, one-lane gravel road.  The parking lot is designed to accommodate cars and has limited turn-around space.  Large vehicles such as stretch limousines, limo-buses, coach buses, executive limousines, RV’s, trailers etc. are too large for the road and parking lot and can almost never be accommodated.

From NYS Route 414, winery signs will lead you to Caywood Road.  About 1/4 mile down, the paved road turns to a privately-maintained gravel road.  Enjoy the expansive views of the lake and the Doyle Family’s massive Chardonnay vineyard as you approach Silver Thread. Follow the signs along the gravel road about 3/4 of a mile.  Our vineyard begins just after you cross a rustic cattle bridge over a ravine (don’t worry–the bridge is supported by two very strong concrete pilings and several steel I-beams). The road is narrow, but there is ample room to pull off to the side if you should encounter an oncoming vehicle.  Please respect our neighbors by obeying the 5 mph posted speed limit.
