Good Earth Day 2018
On Saturday, September 8, 2018, Silver Thread will host its third annual Good Earth Day event. The day will celebrate the upcoming harvest and the vibrant Finger Lakes community, which includes delicious food, wine, and dedicated people working together to make great things happen. This event is open to the public and no reservations are required.
Tasting Room Open 11am-5pm. Sale on Good Earth White Wine (one of Silver Thread’s most popular varieties), and a sneak peak of our newest wine Good Earth Red (Cabernet Franc). All wine tasting fees will be donated to Food for All, Lodi’s Community Food Pantry, which promotes fresh and local foods.
Vineyard Tours and Mini-Farm Market 1-4pm
Grape Tasting Vineyard Tours. Silver Thread team members will lead grape-tasting tours through our Bio-intensively farmed (i.e. organic) lakeside vineyard. Learn about our earth-friendly growing practices. Taste Riesling, Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Gewurztraminer. Suggested donation, $5 per party, to be donated to Food For All, Lodi’s Community Food Pantry. Sign up upon arrival.
Mini-Farm Market. The following local businesses will be on hand:
- Lively Run Dairy–award-winning cheeses from goat’s and cow’s milk.
- Six Circles Farm–certified naturally grown vegetables and one-of-a-kind garlic products.
- Know Your Roots–hand-made herbal products.
- Bakery at the Back of Beyond–sweet and savory baked goods.
