Silver Thread Wine Sleuth-virtual tasting class
Our interactive three-week Wine Sleuth program will help you fine-tune your tasting skills. Using sensory analysis, you will learn to determine grape varieties, winemaking techniques, and how climate and weather impact a vintage. The class will feature in-depth guided evaluation of two wines per week, plus a vineyard tour to explain how weather conditions might impact this year’s vintage.
Silver Thread Wine Sleuth is appropriate for intermediate and experienced tasters, but will not be over the heads of enthusiastic beginners. Class instructors are Silver Thread owner-winemakers Paul and Shannon Brock, who are experienced and certified wine educators. Order by Monday, May 3, 2021 to receive your wines before the start of class.
This class will take place on Zoom, so that participants can interact directly with instructors and other students. Full color notes for each session are included with the wine 6-pack.
Participants who register for the course and join all three tastings on Zoom will earn a “Silver Thread Wine Sleuth” award.

- Session 3: Analyzing the Structure of Red Wines: Body, Extraction and Balance– May 21, 6:00-7:30pm, featuring Pinot Noir 2018 and Good Earth Red 2020
