Our interactive two-part Wine Sleuth class will help you fine-tune your tasting skills and taste like a pro. Using sensory analysis, you will learn to determine grape varieties, winemaking techniques, and how climate and weather impact a vintage. The class will feature in-depth guided evaluation of two wines per week, plus a vineyard tour to explain how weather conditions might impact this year’s vintage.

Silver Thread Wine Sleuth is appropriate for intermediate and experienced tasters, but will not be over the heads of enthusiastic beginners. Class instructors are Silver Thread owner-winemakers Paul and Shannon Brock, who are experienced and certified wine educators. Order by Monday, May 9, 2022 to receive your wines before the start of class.

This class will take place on Zoom, so that participants can interact directly with instructors and other students. Full color notes for each session are included with the wine 4-pack.

Participants who register for the course and join both tastings on Zoom will earn a “Silver Thread Wine Sleuth” award.

Session 2: Sleuthing Red Wines: Structure, Fermentation, Aging and Vintage Conditions– May 20, 6:00-7:30pm, featuring Cabernet Franc 2021 and Blackbird Red Wine 2020
