Riesling Expert Virtual Tasting Classes
Are you ready to embark on a Riesling journey?
Our most popular virtual program is back! Whether you participated in a previous course or are joining for the first time, Riesling Expert V will expand your horizons and enhance your knowledge of the Finger Lakes’ signature grape. This virtual tasting series is suitable for beginners and serious enthusiasts alike. Full-color notes for each session are included with the wine 6-pack.
Classes will take place via Zoom Webinar, and participants must register in advance to access the sessions. After purchasing the six-pack, you will automatically be registered to attend the classes and will receive sign-in details via email. Anyone completing the program will earn a “Silver Thread Riesling Expert” award. The award will be distinct from those issued in previous courses.

*Shirts must be ordered by Wednesday, January 17th in order to be received in time for the final Riesling Expert class on February 9th. All items will be shipped directly to you. A variety of colors and styles are available. We hope you’ll celebrate five years of Riesling Expert with us by getting a shirt!*
Frequently asked questions:
1.) Do I need to purchase the exact wines you are tasting in the class? No, but you will get more out of the class if you have the same wines as the instructors and other participants. If you have a collection of our wines, we can suggest substitutions of the class wines based on what you already own. Email sarah@silverthreadwine.com for help.
2.) Can I share the wine pack with other participants? Yes! People often purchase a 6-pack of wines to share with a group of people who take the class together. When class begins, we will ask folks how many people are in their tasting group to ensure that everyone gets a Riesling Expert award at the end of the series.
3.) Is there a fee for the class? No. The classes are included with the purchase of the Riesling Expert wine 6-pack. Silver Thread Club Members who have enough wines to participate without purchasing the 6-pack are also invited to join the class. Registration is required. Please email sarah@silverthreadwine.com if you’re a Club Member and would like to sign up.
4.) Is there homework? In order to receive the award, participants must watch all three class sessions. We will take attendance during live classes and there will be opportunities to participate to show that you are learning. If you can’t make the live classes and want to watch the recordings, simply send us an email to let us know so we can count your participation.
