Good Earth Day 2022
On Saturday, September 10th, 2022, Silver Thread will host its sixth annual Good Earth Day. This event celebrates the upcoming harvest and Silver Thread’s commitment to sustainability. The day includes Grape-Tasting Tours led by our winemakers, exclusive wine tastings and an amazing wine sale. Phenology Club Members are invited to pick up their September wine allotment during the event.
Grape Tasting Vineyard Tours: Saturday, September 10, 12:30-4pm. Silver Thread winemakers will lead guests on grape-tasting tours through our biointensively farmed vineyard. Biointensive is a type of organic farming that uses biological pest controls instead of chemicals. Learn more about our growing practices as you sample Riesling, Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, and Gewurztraminer grapes just before they’re harvested. Complete your experience by tasting two special-edition wines in our VIP Wine Library room. Wines will be paired with local cheese and honey from our hive. 100% of the tour fee of $15 per person will be donated to Food For All, Lodi’s Community Pantry. Tours begin every 30 minutes beginning at 12:30 and ending at 4. They are first come, first served.
Good Earth Day Wine Tasting: Saturday, September 10, 11am-5pm. Sample a flight of five current release wines or a glass of your favorite while overlooking scenic Seneca Lake from our Tasting Room deck. $15 per flight and $10 per glass. All profits will be donated to Food for All, Lodi’s Community Food Pantry. Reservations will be accepted for wine tasting (book on-line or call). Walk-ins will be accommodated as space allows.
Sale in the Wine Shop: Saturday, September 10, 11am-5pm. Take home our Good Earth Duo (one bottle each of 2021 Good Earth Red and Good Earth White) for just $35! That’s 20% off regular price.
“Supporting our local community is an important part of our mission at Silver Thread,” said Shannon Brock, the winery’s Co-owner & Estate Manager. “High food costs have created a lot of demand on the Lodi food pantry, so our continued support is essential. We’re hoping for a great turnout and to raise even more than prior years.”
