Dry Rose Scores 88 in Wine Enthusiast
April 22, 2014– This just in! To cap off our month-long celebration of Dry Rose, we’ve learned from Wine Enthusiast magazine that our 2013 Dry Rose scored 88 points! This is a very good score for a wine of this style–the wine mags are notoriously fickle about giving high ratings to these easy-going, uncomplicated wines. The score and their tasting note will appear in the July 2014 issue of the magazine.
At the same time, Wine Enthusiast notified us that they scored our 2012 Semi-dry Riesling 88 points (yes, it took them an entire year to give us a score on it!). Luckily, we still have a small amount of this fantastic wine left to sell.
2013 Gewurztraminer scored 86 points, still in the “Very Good” category (85-89 points).
We are very proud that since taking over Silver Thread right before the 2011 harvest, all of our wines have been scored 85 points or higher by the critics at Wine Spectator and Wine Enthusiast.
