2026 Slow Wine Guide – Top Wine Award

We’re excited to announce that we have yet again been honored with a place in the annual Slow Wine USA Guide!

Slow Wine is an Italian-based organization dedicated to highlighting wineries and vineyards that make low-intervention wines in an environmentally friendly way. Silver Thread has been included in the annual guide for the past several years.

2024 Good Earth White won a “Slow Wine” prize. This award is given to a wine that, beyond outstanding sensory quality, demonstrates terroir-related values such as history and identity, and offers good value for money.  2024 Petillant Naturel and 2024 Dry Riesling are also listed in the guide.

Silver Thread Vineyard earned the Bottle Award, a prize for wineries whose total portfolio is of excellent average quality.

To be included in the guide, wineries must meet the guidelines of “good, clean, fair.”  The guide provides information on farming and winemaking practices. Slow Wine writers make human contact with all producers, which is essential to the guide’s evaluations. It features only wines grown without the herbicide Roundup (i.e. glyphosate).
