Two of Sarah’s Favorite Thanksgiving Recipes!

If you order our 2022 Thanksgiving Pack, you’ll notice we adjusted the Winemaker’s Notes to include a few seasonal pairing suggestions. Well, we thought we’d go a step further and offer a couple of favorite fall recipes that will make your Thanksgiving table extra special! Our Marketing & Hospitality Coordinator, Sarah, is an avid home baker and foodie, which is certainly helped by the fact her family owns a restaurant. Here are a few of her favorite Thanksgiving things.

First up is Sarah’s Spiced Cranberry Sauce! Despite her love of baking, Sarah is not known for her cooking skills. But years ago she decided to start making her own cran sauce, and she feels this tangy, fruity side dish is now perfected! Heavy on fall spices and a touch of citrus make this sauce a great match for our 2021 Gewurztraminer, Dry Rose of Pinot Noir, or Cabernet Franc.

The other recipe we’re highly suggesting is called a Harvest Bite. Warm, sweet butternut squash pureed and spread on a crispy baguette, topped with creamy, crumbly cheese and a drizzle of olive oil? Yes please! Sarah adapted this recipe from an autumnal flatbread that her brother-in-law has been serving at their restaurant, The Cellar, this season. It has fast become both a staff and guest favorite, and Sarah thought it could make a great small bite to share with the people you love while you’re waiting for the turkey to finish cooking! Pair it with our 2021 Gewurztraminer or Semi-dry Riesling while you’re chatting around the kitchen island this holiday.
