Planted in 1982 on shallow, shale-heavy soils, Silver Thread’s Estate Vineyard produces Riesling of unparalleled interest. Intensively hand-managed by the Brock family, the vineyard sits on a slope at the edge of the east side of Seneca Lake. Low-yielding, 30-year-old vines deliver wine with racy acidity, ample minerality, lemon-lime zestiness, and hints of exotic jasmine. Medium dry. Seneca Lake appellation.
